PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge an optimum shift position in accordance with vehicle total weight and road surface inclination by computing car body speed from wheel speed, computing the vehicle total weight in accordance with computed engine driving force and existing tractor mass and displaying the optimum shift position at the time of travelling. SOLUTION: A speed shift position display device 1 is furnished with an electronic control unit(ECU) 8 to compute a current shift position in accordance with various information, to decide the optimum shift position and to display it on a display means 7. The ECU 8 is furnished with a car body speed computing means 9, a car body speed change judgement means 10, an engine driving force transmission state judgement means 11 based on engine speed from an engine speed detection means 5, a road surface inclination computing means 12, a shift position computing means 13, a driving force computing means 14, a vehicle acceleration computing means 17 and an optimum shift position judgement means 18. A precise optimum shift position in accordance with a loading status of a trailer is informed to a driver. |
