<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable manufacturing of a catheter suitable for use in living beings while facilitating the production thereof by forming a sensor part arranged at the tip side of a catheter tube having a pressure receiving part, a pressure transmitting medium and a pressure sensing part as separate body from the catheter tube. SOLUTION: A catheter 1 for blood vessels is provided with a catheter tube 2 to be inserted into a blood vessel and an operating means for operation outside a human body. A sensor assembly 3 as sensor part formed as separate body from the catheter tube 2 is mounted on the tip side of the catheter tube 2. The sensor assembly 3 has an outer tube 4 and an inner tube 5 and a piston 7 as pressure receiving part is movably fitted into a tip opening part of the outer tube 4. A semiconductor type pressure sensor chip 10 in which a strain gauge 12 is formed on the upper surface of a thin part at the center thereof is provided in the inner tube 5 and connected to a flat cable 13.</p> |
