PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a terminal part of a web rewound from an old roll to a precise connecting position with a new web. SOLUTION: A holding device 16 of a web 32 is provided immediately in front of a cutting connection unit 14. The holding device 16 is constituted of a plural number of pass rollers 34 to carry the web 32, a motor 70 for the pass rollers, a pump 72 for vacuum, a cylinder for up down, etc. When rewinding of the web comes near to its end, a rod 75 of the cylinder 74 for up down is extended, and the pass rollers 34, 34 of the holding device 16 make contact with the web 34. Thereafter, the pass rollers 34 are rotated at speed lower than carrier speed of the web 32, and the web 32 is carried by driving of the pump 72 in a state where it is pressed on the pass rollers 34, 34... with pressure. Consequently, the web 32 is guided to the cutting connection unit 14 in a state where a carrier position is regulated by the holding device 16. |
