PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a pressure withstanding prooperty at a lower cost with a simple structure without increasing the outer diameter of a bending part nor lowering bending performance. SOLUTION: In a bending part 4 which is provided at an inserting part of the endoscope and is made free to alter the direction of the visual field by being bent, a first metal mesh-shaped tube 16, an elastic tube 17 and a second metal mesh-shaped tube 18 are so arranged on the outer circumference of a bending tube 13 having a plurality of bending pieces 11 linked thereto to cover it in a triple manner. The first metal mesh-shaped tube 16 and a second metal mesh-shaped tube 18 are formed by braiding a strand bundle in which a plurality of strands comprising a metal thin wire are arranged in a mesh and the densityρof at least one of the metal mesh-shaped tubes should exceed 0.45.
