PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent floating matter from sticking to the filter of the suction port of an outboard engine and from deteriorating suction performance. SOLUTION: In an outboard engine having suction ports 8, 8 on both sides of a lower case constituting the lower part of the outboard engine, a screen member 20 is provided so as to surround the outer periphery of the lower case having the suction ports 8, 8 and the screen member is separated from the surface of the lower case to make a gap between the inner surface of the screen member and the surface of the lower case. |
