PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the remarkable diffusion of a grease itself by adding a fluorine compd. having polyfluoroalkyl and oxyalkylene groups in the molecule to a grease based on a synthetic lubricating oil. SOLUTION: The fluorine compd. as a base oil diffusion preventive has at least two polyfluoroalkyl groups and at least one oxyalkylene group, is represented by formula I [wherein R<f1> and R<f2> are each a polyfluoroakyl; (a) and (b) are each an (a) and (b) are each an integer of 1 or higher; Q' is an (a+1)-valent linking group; Q<2> is a (b+1)-valent linking group; and Y is a divalent group having at least one oxyalkylene group], and is added in an amt. of 0.1-10wt.% of the grease. Examples of the synthetic lubricating oil are a poly(α-olefin) oil, a co-oligomer oil comprising ethylene units and otherα-olefin units, a silicone oil, and a dialkyl dicarboxylate. Usually the grease contains a thickener (e.g. a metal soap) together with the synthetic lubricating oil. |
