PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject material capable of forming a coating film excellent in fouling, acid and weather resistances, etc., by compounding an curable resin of an acid epoxy curable type coating material and a low condensate such as tetramethyl silicate. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. curable resin of an acid epoxy curable type coating material prepared by compounding an epoxy group- and hydroxyl group-containing acrylic copolymer with a carboxyl group-containing compound with 0.1-50 pts.wt. low condensate of tetramethyl silicate and/or tetraethyl silicate having 2-10 degree of condensation. The surface of an automotive outside plate is coated with a colored base coat as a top coating material and subsequently coated with a clear top coating material prepared therefrom in an uncured state thereof and the colored base coat and the clear top coat are then simultaneously baked and cured according to a two-coat and one-bake method. |
