DRIVING METHOD OF INK JET HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an ink jet head constituted so as to be capable of performing the gradation expression due to the change of ink emitting quantity by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: Electric pulses are selectively applied to heating resistors 6 to heat the heating resistors 6 to foam the ink present in the ink passage 8 containing the heating resistors 6 and the ink is emitted by the energy generated by this foaming to drive an ink jet head. By changing the voltage and width of the pulses applied to the heating resistors 6, the temp. rising speed of the ink is changed and the ink quantity contributing to foaming is changed to change ink emitting quantity.
