<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage when the discharge capacity is made into the minimum capacity in a variable displacement compressor. SOLUTION: A variable displacement compressor controls the discharge capacity by changing the tilt angle of a swash plate 5 according to differential pressure between a crank chamber 3 and a suction chamber 13 and changing the piston stroke. A delivery chamber 14 and the crank chamber 3 are communicated with each other by a first communication passage 18, and the first communication passage 18 is opened or closed by a pressure control valve 19. While, the crank chamber 3 and the suction chamber 13 are communicated with each other by a second communication passage 20, and a valve seat 21 is formed on the second communication passage 20. A valve element 22 is arranged on the second communication passage 20, and a fixed restriction 22a having the diameter smaller than that of the second communication passage 20 is formed on the valve element 22. The valve element is energized in the direction from the suction chamber 13 to the crank chamber 3 by a spring 23, and when differential pressure between the crank chamber 3 and the suction chamber 13 becomes the specified value or more, the valve element 22 is moved in the direction of the suction chamber 13 against energizing force of the spring 23 to increase the opening of the second communication passage 20.</p> |
