TUNNEL EXCAVATION MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently collect muck accumulated on the bottom of a tunnel excavation machine body to reduce operator's load. SOLUTION: Muck piled on the bottom of a tunnel excavation machine body is scraped in an erector bucket 11, while transferring a slewing ring 10 (bucket transfer means) and the erector bucket 11 is transferred to the upper part of a belt conveyor 5 (discharge means of soil) in a main gripper 4. The scraped muck is released by stretching a hydraulic jack 16 (discharge means of muck) at the upper part of the belt conveyor 5 and turning the erector bucket 1 and discharged onto the belt conveyor 5 while being guided by a fixed rotary cover 13.
