PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chloroprene rubber composition being a silica-filled vulcanizable chloroprene composition which shows improved processability in vulcanization and can give a vulcanizate improved in thermal aging resistance and adhesion to steel cords after being aged. SOLUTION: This composition contains 50-100 pts.wt. chloroprene rubber, 5-100 pts.wt. silica and 1-100wt.%, based on the silica, polysiloxane having alkoxysilyl groups of the formula I:≡Si-OR<1> or acyloxysilyl groups of formula II:≡Si-OCOR<2> (wherein R<1> is a 1-18C (un)substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group or an ether bond containing organic group; and R<2> is hydrogen or a 1-18C hydrocarbon group). |
