PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material which shows high thermal response and outstanding preservative stability (resistance to plasticizer and moisture resistance) for a colored image and is almost free from texture fogging and blushing. SOLUTION: This thermal recording material consists of a heat-sensitive coloring layer containing a colorless or a pale color leuco dye at a normal temperature and an organic acid material which causes the coloring of the leuco dye through a chemical reaction with the leuco dye, formed on a support. In addition, the heat-sensitive coloring layer contains at least, one type of a chemical compound expressed, as the organic acid material, by formula (in the formula, X is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; Z is a non-substituted aromatic group or an aromatic group substituted with a lower alkyl group or a halogen atom; A is a group with divalence or higher; and (n) is an integer of 2 or more), and also contains at least, one type of chemical compound selected, as a sensitizer, from 3-methoxydiphenylamine, 3-benzalphthalide, N- phenylamleimide, 1,2,4-triacetoxybenzene, 1,4-diacetoxybenzene, 1,4- diacetylbenzene, benzyl, or 4-acetylbiphenyl. |
