PURPOSE:To increase a limit turning speed effectively and at he same time secure excellent road surface grip power even if the limit turning speed is surpassed, by selecting the lateral rigidity index of each block within a proper range. CONSTITUTION:Block rows 6, 7, 8 in 6 lines are respectively formed by means of peripheral grooves 1-4 and widthwise grooves 5, and at the same time the respective side edges of these block row blocks 6a, 7a, 8a that extend in a tread width direction are mode to incline in either direction in regard to a tire meridian. At a place where sipes 6b, 7b, 8b are formed, in the approximate center portion position of the tread peripheral direction of respective blocks 5a, 6a, 7a, the number of blocks which satisfy the necessary condition that a block lateral rigidity index 0.12/H (2H/1+1.5) when the average depth of two mutually adjoining peripheral grooves 1-4 is denoted by H and the tread widthwise length of a block divided by these two peripheral grooves is denoted by I, is 0.0029-0.0042, is made to be 50% or more of the number of total blocks. |
