COMPOSITION FOR THERMISTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compsn. for a thermistor having a low variation of resistance during use at a high temp. and capable of weidely regulating B- constant of the low temp. side by adding Fe-Zr or Cr-Zr to an Mn-Co-Cu compsn. SOLUTION: This compsn. for a thermistor is obtd. by adding 0.01-50wt.% (expressed in terms of iron dioxide) Fe and 0.01-10wt.% (expressed in terms of zirconium oxide) Zr or 0.01-10.0wt.% (expressed in terms of chromium oxide) Cr and 0.01-10.0wt.% (expressed in terms of zirconium oxide) Zr to an oxide contg. 10-70mol% Mn, 20-90mol% Co and 0.01-40mol% Cu as metallic elements by 100mol% in total. This compsn. has <=5% variation of resistance after holding at 125 deg.C for 1,000hr and can arbitrarily vary the temp. characteristics of B-constant on the low temp. side (25 to -40 deg.C).
