<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject pigment capable of simultaneously satisfying its handleability and the dispersibility in vehicle, by molding carbon black under pressure followed by coating. SOLUTION: This pigment is a coated carbon black pressure molded form. In this case, the coating material is pref. a heat shrinkable material which is also soluble to or miscible with resin. The pressure when the carbon black is to be pressure-molded is pref. 2-500 (more pref. 5-400)kgf/cm<2> . The other objective resin compositions using this pigment include spinning materials for man-made fibers, sealants and electrophotographic toners. By this method, a colored resin high in carbon black dispersibility can be produced.</p> |
