A starter motor incorporates a starter shaft with a pinion which rotates and slides along it, and a porous bearing ring (32) impregnated with lubricant between the pinion and shaft. The pinion incorporates a lubricant reserve chamber (44) in the form of a radial cavity in the main part (34) of the pinion or in the form of a series of radial grooves in the outer wall of the bearing ring. |
