The keel has two keel blades (1,2) with their upper ends connected transversely by a saddle section (5). The upper ends of the two keels can be connected by a common part (6) which is fixed to the hull. The two keels can issue from a central keel (7) at their upper ends. The assembly of the keels and their mounting can be made of a single casting or moulding. The assembly can be fixed by bolts to the hull. The keel blades can be angled with respect to each other to increase their spacing at the lower end.
