摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high luminance, multiple gradations, and high definition while reducing a line flicker when an interlaced signal is displayed by providing a means which controls an address period almost to a half by writing data of one line to two lines at the same time. SOLUTION: A control circuit 1 controls a scan electrode driver IC5 and an address electrode driver IC6 to write address data. The control circuit 1 sends data equivalent to one line read out of a memory to the address electrode driver IC6. The address electrode driver IC6 outputs address data L1 corresponding to address electrodes EW1 to EWm . At this point, the scan electrode driver IC5 outputs line select signals X1 and X2 to one odd line and one even line of scan electrodes. The data are written to cells 8 of a 1st line and a 2nd line at the same time with the address data L1 and line select signals X1 and X2 .
