PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal computer with which processing load for moving a cursor corresponding to reading can be remarkably reduced. SOLUTION: A layout analytic module 311 performs layout analysis by expanding text data under editing onto an intermediate table 34 for layout analysis. Then, division if performed based on the analyzed result, and the offset information of these respective divided text data is processed and stored in a layout analyzed result storage table 35 together with the text data. On the other hand, a read control module 312 makes a voice synthesizing engine 32 to execute voice synthesization by successively inputting these text data to it and when the move of the cursor to a reading position is instructed, the module 312 requests an operating system 30 to read the offset information of text data under voice synthesizing processing and to move the cursor to the position shown by that offset information. |
