PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which determines the transfer voltage, taking account of environment, such as absolute humidity, as a parameter for estimation of discharge. SOLUTION: A constant current is supplied from a constant-current source 106 to a secondary transfer roller 59, a voltage produced at the time is detected by a voltage detection circuit 103, and, at the time of printing, absolute humidity is measured by an environment sensor 102. Based on the detected voltage and measured absolute humidity, a CPU 104 causes a constant-voltage source 107 to generate a secondary transfer application voltage VT which is to be applied to the secondary transfer roller 59, and applies the voltage VT to the roller 59 via a switch circuit 105. |
