SKATE WITH ANGULARLY MOUNTED WHEELS

A skate (10) comprising a foot enclosure (12) with a ball region and a heel region includes a first hanger set (18) coupled to the foot enclosure adjacent the ball region, and a second hanger set (18) coupled to the foot enclosure adjacent the heel region. The skate further includes a plurality of wheels (16 and 17) corresponding in number to the hangers of the first and second hanger sets wherein the wheels are rotatably and angularly coupled to the corresponding hangers. The skate may be customizable in that the hangers may be selectively and removably coupled to the foot enclosure. A method for customizing a wheel arrangement on a skate is also disclosed.
