FAN GUARD MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely mount a fan guard even in a nozzle structure which is excellent in assemblage and dose not have a nozzle lower-frame and a longitudinal rib. SOLUTION: The preset mounting structure is constituted such that a grill shaped fan guide 25 having a plurality of lateral bars 26 and a plurality of longitudinal bars 27 disposed perpendicularly to the lateral bars 26 is mounted on an air blowoff hole 5 defined by a nozzle upper frame constituting member 21 mounted on a unit box 1 of an air conditioner body and a lower wall 1a of the unit box. A resilient synthetic resin support member 22 where a plurality of fan guard mounting engagement recess parts 28 are integrally molded is mounted on the nozzle upper frame constituting member 21, and the uppermost lateral bars 26a of the fan guard 25 is press inserted into and engaged with the fan guard mounting engagement recess part 28 and the lowermost part of the fan guard 25 is held between the lower wall 1a of the unit box 1 and a lower panel 30 mounted on the lower wall 1a.
