<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrally constitute an infrared sensor with a room lamp to make a device compact, so as not to obstruct an occupant by arranging an infrared sensor body adjacently to the room lamp provided on the ceiling of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A cover 14 has a plurality of convex lenses 2 on the inner surface, and a semicircular first cover part 14a for housing a pyroelectric infrared sensor body 1 and a flat dish-like second cover part 14b for housing a room lamp body 15 are continued and integrally formed thereon. The pyroelectric infrared sensor body 1 is arranged in a position adjacent to the room lamp body 15. The pyroelectric infrared sensor 1 is set on the ceiling of a vehicle above the assistant's seat, and it detects the infrared ray emitted from an occupant on the assistant's seat to detect whether the occupant is sitting on the assistant's seat or not for operation of an air bag. Thus, the room lamp body 15 is integrated with the pyroelectric infrared sensor body 1, whereby this device can be made compact with a good appearance.</p> |
