The carrier frame has a waistcoat (1) with a large pocket (5) formed in its back to receive a metal support frame (6) of inverted U-shape which extends as high as the users head. There is a hook extending for the height of the support (7) to allow suspension of the perfusion bottle in an air chamber. The waistcoat is closed by hooked pile fastener strips (2). A strap (3) at waist level is provided to stabilise the support. There can be two straps for each shoulder and further straps for the side and chest.
