PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothen the slide between a brush and a commutator, and to lower the brush noise by including the material for generating chemical species to be adsorbed to graphite in an electric brush, which is mainly composed of graphite, copper powder and binder. SOLUTION: As a material for generating a chemical species to be adsorbed to graphite, phenol resin and magnesium hydroxide are desirable. Phenol resin is used as a binder, and the phenol resin exists in the electric brush at 5-50wt% in relation to graphite at 100wt%. Magnesium hydroxide having mean granular diameter at 0.1 100μm is desirably used, and it desirably exists at 0.1-10wt%. Gas is generated from phenol resin and water is generated from magnesium hydroxide by the heating due to the sliding between the electric brush and the commutator. These gas and water work as adsorption water molecular, and they are adsorbed to active carbon atom in an end surface of the graphite so as to make the connection hard between the brush and the commutator.
