The control panel for use on a vehicle comprises a mono-block support (10) consisting of a box with a front panel (26) and peripheral skirt (28). The skirt defines an open rear surface (30). The front panel is shaped to receive the supports (34,54,62) on which individual controls (14,16,18) are mounted. Each aperture in the front of the box is slightly larger than the associated control, providing a light box (32) to surround the control. A light source (52) is fitted within the box to illuminate the control. The controls include both rotary control knobs (14) and pushbutton controls (18) mounted within the front panel.
