PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe end insert which is capable of being inserted with small force by forming a locking part which is locked at the pipe end surface of a resin pipe, and forming a part whose cross-section is of roughly-irregular shape at the outer periphery part of the tubular part when the resin pipe is led to a prescribed position in a tubular part which is led to the pipe end of the resin pipe of this pipe end insert. SOLUTION: This pipe end insert 1 is provided with a tubular part 2, and a locking part 3 along in a circumferential direction at the outer periphery of one end of the tubular part 2. The tubular part 2 is inserted inside the pipe end of a resin pipe, and serves as a part for reinforcing the resin pipe from the inside. The locking part 3 is locked at the pipe end surface of the resin pipe when the tubular part 2 is inserted to a prescribed position of the resin pipe The tubular part 2, whose cross-section shape in circumferential direction at the outer periphery part is roughly wavy, is formed to satisfy the following relation: minimum outside diameter of tubular part 2 < inside diameter of resin pipe < maximum outside diameter of tubular part 2. In this pipe end insert 1, the outer periphery part of the tubular part 2 is formed so as to have its cross-section of roughly irregular shape or wavy shape, thus it is possible to reduce the contact area of the tubular part 2 and the resin pipe for attainment of inserting the tubular part 2 into the resin pipe with small force. |
