<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable RF output for a long period and dispense with manual adjustment and periodic maintenance by interposing a control circuit between a transformer assembly and a pulse forming circuit network, and monitoring an electric parameter, and controlling a peak current according to a control algorithm. SOLUTION: In a control system 100, a control circuit 90 is interposed between a transformer assembly 104 and a pulse forming circuit network PFN 106. A magnetron 102 receives a drive current from the transformer assembly 104 and outputs a controlled RF output. The control circuit 90 monitors an electric parameter of the transformer assembly 104, compares it with a simplified threshold, adjusts a PFN charging voltage according to a designated control algorithm, and controls a peak current to be applied to the magnetron 102. The PFN 106 can select the number of its LC according to an application field. The transformer assembly 104 can detect a magnetron current by the use of a rectifier.</p> |
