PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking bolt and a locking method of a bolt which can display a sure locking effect by only applying a device to a bolt seat surface with no additional member used at all. SOLUTION: In a bolt A provided with a large diametric head part 2 in an upper end of a screw shaft part 1, a seat surface 3 of the head part 2 is formed in a gentle slope tilted in one direction. A tilt angleαof this slope seat surface 3 is left as set to in an angle range which can simultaneously generate a surface pressure relating to a tightened member C by press contact with an upper surface thereof and a pressure in a bolt shaft cutting direction by the slope seat surface 3 of the bolt head part 2 when the bolt A is screwed to a screw hole B to be tightened to the tightened member C by prescribed torque.
