PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize data deterioration and enable efficient encoding by selecting an optimum pulse cache which encodes speech data of some frame and encoding driving sound source pulses by using the update result of contents corresponding to the information in the selected cache. SOLUTION: A sound source signal encoding part 5 consists of a pulse adaptivity decision part 51, pulse caches 521 to 524, a pulse cache selection part 53, a pulse cache update part 54, an encoded driving sound source data output part 55, etc. Then the adaptivity between the intensity of a generated driving sound source signal and the intensity stored in the pulse caches 521 to 524 is decided with specific parameters and according to the decision result, the contents of the pulse caches 521 to 524 are updated; and one of the pulse caches 521 to 524 is selected on the basis of the update result and on the basis of its contents, the driving sound source signal is encoded. |
