<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a radome small in size and light in weight without changing the diameter of an antenna or to improve the characteristic of the antenna by increasing the diameter of the antenna without changing the size of the radome. SOLUTION: The length of the radome 5 is decreased by making a part of the radome 5 through which a transmitted or received radio wave is propagated thinner from a root 14 fitted to a missile main body 8 by an integral number of multiple of 1/2 wavelength or over without changing the outer shape of the radome 5 and without making the inside of the radome interfered with a rocking motion of an antenna 1 so that small size and light weight are attained. Or since the diameter of the antemna is increased when the size of the radome 5 and the position of the antenna are unchanged, the antenna characteristic is improved.</p> |
