PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the influence of a brake generated by the variation of the holding force of a magnetic fluid owing to the decentering of a shaft in the turning time, and to maintain the sealing property. SOLUTION: This sealing device has plural chambers 11a to 11k which are formed of the inner circumferential surfaces of magnetic poles 7a and 7b (the first magnetic poles); plural circular grooves 8a to 8k; and the second magnetic pole 10 having projection lines 9a to 9k between the circular grooves. And the magnetic poles 7a and 7b, and the second magnetic pole 10 are movable relatively in the axial direction, and the plural circular grooves 8a to 8k are formed by extending in the area in the moving direction of the first magnetic poles 7a and 7b. |
