A compensating stacker (10) includes a diverter gate (12) selectively directing product to a first conveyor (16) which transports the products to a receiving bucket area (22), or to a reversing conveyor (18) which transports the product to the receiving bucket area in a product orientation 180 DEG offset from the orientation of the product delivered by the first conveyor. A secondary receiving bucket area (44) may be provided to receive the product if the product is diverted such as when a product jam is sensed. Additionally, a log stacking assembly (70) may be selectively attached to the stacker for selectively forming log stacked products. |
