PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with high capacity and excellent charging and discharging characteristics which has a high capacity keeping ratio even by a long-term repeated use by binding a negative electrode or positive electrode with a specified material. SOLUTION: A polyamide elastomer used as a binder is excellent in solvent resistance to electrolyte, and also excellent in adhesion to a carbon material of negative electrode active material, a Li composite oxide of positive electrode active material, and a metal foil used in electrodes. In a battery using this, since the above active materials are never peeled from the metal foil even when charging and discharging are repeated, and the electrode surface is never cracked, a high capacity can be kept. Further, since the polyamide elastomer has a low elasticity and is excellent in flexibility, the resulting electrode can be set to any form. Since the active materials can be charged in a limited space in a quantity as much as possible, a secondary battery having high energy density and high capacity can be manufactured. |
