PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the dispersion in position of the connecting part between a lug part and an expanded part by detecting the position of the mesh of the expanded part to change the feed quantity in an expanded metal grating to be continuously formed. SOLUTION: The projection part 2a of a disc-like projection 2 is fitted to the mesh of an expanded part. When an expanded metal grating 1 is fed, the projection 2 is rotated in the relation of chain and sprocket, and this rotating angle is detected by an encoder 4. The feed quantity is changed by a servo feed 5 according to the rotating angle so as to locate the connecting part between a lug part and the expanded part just under the lug part. Thus, current collecting property is improved, and dispersion in strength is also reduced. In a conventional manufacturing device of electrode plate, in which the feed quantity is not corrected since the detection of feed quantity is not performed, the position of the connecting part can not be limited to just under the lug part, and the quality is thus reduced. |
