摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading method for computer graphics which can generate the shade of an object in a short time with a small calculation quantity. SOLUTION: Light-beam information, viewpoint information, and information showing the shape of an object are inputted (S10). A temporary polygon in a shape circumscribed with the object is assumed at the position of the object while crossing a light source direction at right angles (S14). Then a shade polygon as a projection of the temporary polygon on a shading surface is found (S16) and shade texture is pasted to the shade polygon (S20). The shade texture is texture obtained by shading the texture of the object. The pasting is performed after the shade texture is adjusted to a shape matching the shade polygon according to the ratio of the temporary polygon and shade polygon. This method only finds the shade as to the temporary polygon, so the data process quantity of shading is small.
