PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL DRIVING METHOD AND LUMINANCE DATA CONVERSION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a black noise in a luminance data conversion device for converting luminance data of PDP expressing luminance of each display cell to SF data by selecting SF (sub-field) emitting each display cell for each frame. SOLUTION: In SF data outputted from a data conversion ROM 40, when SF which emits (j)th display cell of a (i+1)th line and does not emit a (j)th display cell of a (i)th line exists, and when SF data outputted from the data conversion ROM 40 is made a compensating object for reducing a black noise, SF data outputted from a compensation data ROM 41 in which SF data inputted from the data conversion ROM 40 is connected is outputted as SF data of the (j)th display cell of the (i+1) line.
