<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability and workability of a mouse by detecting coordinate points along two coordinate axes intersecting each other at right angles by a change in electrostatic capacity and displaying the screen of a display device for a personal computer(PC) as coordinate data. SOLUTION: A track pad 3 detects electrostatic capacity on fingers and a pad and outputs voltage values of two X and Y directions. When the fingers are moved on the pad 3, the detecting position of electrostatic capacity is moved and the output voltage level of the X and Y directions are changed. Pulses corresponding to the changes of digital signals inputted to pulse generators 35, 36 are outputted and inputted to X-direction and Y-direction pulse processing parts 23, 24 respectively through OR circuits 37, 38. Pulse data respectively indiating posotive and negative pulse data are outputted from the processirag parts 23, 24 to the PC. When the mouse is moved, a ball 2 is rotated and the pulse data of the X and Y directions are outputted to the PC, so that a cursor on the display can be moved.</p> |
