<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical voltage - electric field sensor capable of improving temperature characteristics and accurately measuring over the use temperature range by optimizing the relationship of optical parts. SOLUTION: By making the deviation direction from the reference phase difference 90 degrees of aλ/4 plate 3 constant, the position of an analyzer 5 is controlled according to the deviation direction. That is, in the case the analyzer 5 is arranged at the reference position where the modulation sensitivity becomes maximum and the error of direct current component of the output of the analyzer 5 reduces compared with the reference phase difference of 90 degrees, the analyzer 5 is arranged within the angle of ca. 30 degrees turning leftward from the upstream to the downstream of the light progression direction. On the other hand, in the case the error of the direct current component increases compared with the reference phase difference of 90 degrees, the analyzer 5 is arranged within the angle of ca. 30 degrees turning rightward from the upstream to the downstream of the light progression direction.</p> |
