PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera equipped with an automatic focusing device for inhibiting a moving body mode in accordance with the characteristics of a mounted photographic lens, as for a single lens reflex camera to which various kinds of photographic lenses can be attached/detached. SOLUTION: In the camera body 11 to which the photographic lens 51 can be attached/detached, the camera is provided with a multi-focus detecting sensor unit 21 for detecting the focusing state with reference to an object image formed by the attached photographic lens 51, an AF(automatic focusing) motor 39 for moving the focusing lens group 53 of the photographic lens 51 to a focal position based on the focusing state detected through the sensor unit 21, and a main CPU 35 which is operated in the moving body mode where the focusing lens group 53 is driven with giving consideration to the field movement of the object in the case the object is moving, and a ROM 61a for storing lens data presenting whether the operation in the moving body mode is allowed, or inhibited is installed on the photographic lens 51, and whether the moving mode is executed, or inhibited is decided by the main CPU 35 based on the lens data read from the ROM 61a installed on the photographic lens 51. |
