Also claimed are pharmaceutical compositions containing the proteins as the active ingredient and suitable excipients. The protein extracted has known sequence (I) (for protein 'UK 114') or a sequence >= 80 % homologous to (I) (claimed). Alternatively, the extracted protein fraction comprises (I) plus two other components with molecular weights 50 and 10 kD respectively.
