PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video projecting device which is excellent in color purity and where luminance distribution is uniform by restraining the occurrence of wavelength shift due to the angle dependency of a dichroic prism. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a lamp 1, fly-eye lenses 2 and 3, an R reflection dichroic mirror 4, a liquid crystal light valve for R 7, a G reflection dichroic mirror 8, a liquid crystal light valve for G 10, a liquid crystal light valve for B 16, the dichroic prism 17, and a projection lens 18 projecting a synthesized color video to a screen. A color purity correction filter 100 correcting the color purity of a displayed video is inserted between the mirror 4 and a mirror 5 so that it may be inclined by θ=10 deg. in a clockwise direction with respect to a vertical axis Z orthogonally crossed with an incident optical axis X. Thus, the color purity of the displayed video displayed on the screen is improved and the luminance distribution of the displayed video is made uniform. |
