PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To melt snow and ice on an upper surface of a solar battery effectively by providing a switching means for changing the connection state of a plurality of solar cells while power is generated and snow is melted. SOLUTION: When a sensor 16 detects snow on a solar battery module 10, a switching circuit 15 closes switches 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d, 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, 18e, 22 and opens switches 19, 20. As a result, solar cells with bypass function 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e generates power to melt snow or ice on the solar battery module 10. When a sensor 16 detects that the snow is removed by heating operation of a solar cell, the switching circuit 15 opens the switches 17a, 17b, 17c, 17d, 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, 18e and closes the switches 19, 20, 22. DC current generated by the solar battery module 10 charges a storage battery 13 and is also supplied to a load 14. Thereby, snow and ice can be melted effectively. |
