Magnetic ratchet mechanism for electric or electronic switch

The ratchet mechanism uses a rotatable ratchet wheel (9-12) with a permanent magnet arrangement (10) and a cooperating stationary counter-ratchet arrangement (4), separated from the ratchet wheel by an airgap. The magnet arrangement provides a magnetisation parallel to the axis of the ratchet wheel. The magnetic poles are covered by a magnetisable disc (9) with toothed projections (9'). The counter-ratchet arrangement has a corresponding projection (4') adjacent the edge of the disc.
