The arrangement can be attached to the rear of a wheel-chair and incorporates a wheel which is mounted in a frame. The frame is in the form of a bar (12) which extends backwards and upwards. The lower end of the bar is attached to the wheel chair at a point between the two wheels of the chair. It is attached with a hinge pin (18) so that it can pivot about a horizontal axis. The hinge pin is attached to a cross bar which can be attached to the wheel chair at a later date. The wheel (41), with which the wheelchair can be steered, is mounted at the rear end of the bar (12) and can be pivoted about a vertical axis (A2).
