PURPOSE:To provide a CAD system shape editing system capable of accurately and simply executing input operation for moving, rotating, or sweeping edition and improving operability and an edition time. CONSTITUTION:At the time of moving processing of a drawing shape, plural shape elements are stored as hierarchical structure of faces and blocks. To simplify the specification of an objective shape element, plural shape elements included in a shape to be moved are recognized (100) by the specification of only one shape element. A moving reference point is specified and then a moving reference axis is specified (101, 102). To easily specify the coordinate of a destination to be moved, the coordinates of the destination to be moved are specified (103) in the displayed state of the moving reference axis. The data of all recognized shape elements are updated (104) based upon the moving reference point and the coordinates of the destination to be moved. Feature parts in both rotating and sweeping operation are similarly executed. |
