An automotive steering wheel (10) is formed of a body (20) molded over an armature (12, 14, 16, 18) and defining a central recess (22). An inflator (42) and a folded airbag (44) are housed within the recess. A horn switch actuation member (48) in the form of a housing surrounds the folded airbag and is movable within the recess.
