<p>The machine comprises a chassis (2) on wheels (3,4), a hitching mechanism (5) for a towing vehicle, and a cylindrical brush (1) which rotates about a horizontal axis lying perpendicular to the direction of travel. The brush, made e.g. with bristles of polypropylene or polyester, interacts with a deflector (20) to propel the swept material upwards and rearwards into a hinged bin (22). The deflector is made preferably in the form of a flexible metal panel and has a system for regulating its position relative to the brush, and especially for varying its curvature as the bristles of the cylindrical brush wear down. The regulator is in the form of one or more adjustable pushers (24) attached to the chassis. The position of the brush relative to the ground can also be adjusted by articulated arms (16) which can slide relative to the chassis and be fixed in different positions.</p> |
