Mammography X-ray appts.

The appts. has an X-ray emitter (1) and a locating table (6). It also has a digital detector (7) at a distance from the table (6). The distance replaces a radiation pattern or raster. This distance is preferably at least one centimetre. The preferred arrangement includes an X-ray emitter (1) with a focus (2), which emits an X-ray beam bundle (4) blended by means of a primary beam aperture (3). The beam bundle (4) passes through an object e.g. a patient (5) on the table (6) and is incident on the detector (7). The detector sends electric signals to a computer (8) which reproduces an X-ray image on a monitor (9).
