The device comprises two flexible closure discs (7,8), one arranged intra-bronchially and the other extra-bronchially in relation to the opening. The two closure discs (7,8) are fixable by means of a connecting component (9), which has a shaft (12) at least partly provided with a thread (11), on which a nut (13) can be positioned. The extra-bronchially arranged closure disc (8) is larger than the intra-bronchially arranged closure disc (7). The closure discs and the connecting component are made of a tissue-compatible plastic, which is bio-compatible and resorbable by body tissue. The diameter of the two closure discs is greater than the opening (4) of the open bronchus. The closure component (6) is installed outwards from the pleura cavity (3). Access for this is created by an applied thoracostomy (10) after partial resection of two to three ribs.
